"The Iconic Thriller 11s"
Reminiscent of the impact on 80's/90's pop culture and ahead of his time, I dedicated this shoe to Michael Jackson horror music video "Thriller". Working off the base Infrared colorway sole was a challenge, and based the shoe around that iconic color. Python wrapped upper, chrome leather details with the black sparkle bottom.
VISUALIZE before execution! Mock up your design so you will know what direction you're heading.
S/O to Rey, James, Kris was the BEST Staff! Rey was very knowledgeable of the materials, the step by step process, what to expect during the class, attentive and also shares some recommendations on what works and what doesn't. HIGHLY recommended for anyone beginner or advanced with or without experience. If you want to learn this lifelong sneakerhead craft or just to make a pair for yourself don't doubt yourself and jump in. I would do it all over again without a doubt. Thank you SDCF, I'm hooked!

”Air Jordan 11- Elephants”
Always loved how this type of print/leather looked on the Air Max 1 and wondered how it would look on any other sneaker. So I decided to go with the Elephant print/leather, black leather, reptile blue skin leather, black type of mesh (I think its called for tongue). Well im gonna say this EVERYONE EVERYONE was very helpful, great in very aspect I don’t have words for the staff to be honest, they just killed it! As for Rey, I mean, best attitude best way in delivering is knowledge . Definitely a great teacher & I hope to go back some day soon!

"Wild Thang Travis Scott Lows"
The inspiration definitely came from the "Safari's"!
At first, I didn’t have a concept for my shoe until I saw all the amazing leathers that were provided. I liked so many of them & challenged myself by using all my favorites in hopes that it would all flow together. The exotic leathers I chose seemed like the most difficult to combine together. I didn’t want anything easy or anything that looked like I can just purchase from Nike, so I definitely challenged myself.
I recommend this class to anyone who wants to challenge themselves with a new hobby or anyone that wants to refine their skills. This class was such a fun experience and a great network opportunity. Everyone from the staff and the students were such a cool friendly vibe! Rey was such a humble guy and shared so many tips and tricks and also shared with us where we can purchase exotics and supplies with no hesitations! I will definitely be booking another class in the future.

“Hype Country Travis Scott Lows”
The concept & inspiration of the shoe came from wanting Travis Scott’s so badly for such a long time, but the prices for my size were ridiculous & almost impossible to find! So instead, I created my own look & created my own Travis Scott’s my own way.
I chose these colors based on the Travis Scott reverse swoosh, and made sure the pink played a big role. The reason I chose the grey croc leather is because I knew that it would look really great with the brown & pink integration!
HUGE Shoutout to Rey & his team for hosting this class! Honestly, this class wasn’t an easy process, but they kept us motivated with “The end result will be so worth the time”. This inspired me and really put me into thinking “you can do anything, as long as you put your mind to it”! And here I am today, inspired to do my next project with my business!!

"Pinche' Safari Lows"
The inspiration to the shoe really came from A Sexy Shoe Santa Would Wear!
I don't really know why I chose this colorway to be honest. But, as the class progressed I saw the different options to choose from, and honestly thought ithis combo would look pretty cool!
I thought Rey and his staff were great! I came in to the class, already with the knowledge of how to make a shoe but they helped me hone my skills and learn little things to make my work better. There was always someone available to answer questions and make sure we did quality work. I would definitely recommend this class to others especially if you have a little background in making shoes so that you can learn a few different techniques to make you work cleaner and better. Even if you've never done this before, the guys are right there every step of the way to help you create something you are proud of and learn techniques so you can continue pursuing this creative journey.

The class was amazing! I learned so much in that time period, every detail of the process was explained very well, making it an enjoyable experience. The inspiration for my shoe came from Travis Scott’s personal style. I wanted to create something interesting, something that I can see him wearing personally. All the instructors were very helpful and present when needed. They also took their time with explaining the process of making the shoe.I highly would recommend taking this class, everything flowed right from the very first day. It’s an amazing experience, and you learn so much about all the hard work it takes to make these sneakers. Can’t wait to take any course!

"Wild Chicago 1's"
The inspiration to this shoe really came from the original "Chicago 1's" design and the Spiderman origin story. You can't beat the classic colorway!
I wanted to challenge myself and use all the exotic leathers so I know how to work with them in the future.
I would definitely recommend this course to all sneakerheads, artists & anyone who is looking it make a business from custom kicks! I walked out of the last day of class wearing my shoes and the first dude who saw them down the street immediately complimented them and asked how I got them!
Lastly, Rey & his his instructors were great! Completely taught you how to use and make patterns, each step on how to construct a shoe & helped if something got tricky. Super fun and knowledgeable team! Thank you SDCF!

“AJ1 Deadpool”
The concept of my shoe truthfully came from one of the instructors, James, & his Travis Scott Breds. I’m a huge fan of the Bred Colorway so I definitely wanted to do a slightly different take on it. Once I looked at the materials and saw the Red Shark Skin, I knew that just stuck out and I had to use it. Visually, I can see the simpler black leather mixed in to highlight the red shark skin and gray cement quarter panel for some contrast!
I went into this class with no experience in making shoes, sewing or any sort of craftsman skills. Rey and his instructors were always open to having their brains picked on how to approach different parts of a shoe and different patterns. What I loved most, is they didn’t hide any secrets of their processes and were open books. The fact that I was able to come out of the class with a Jordan 1 made from scratch, attests to how great Rey and his instructors were! I highly recommend this class to ANYONE who has a curiosity in sneaker customizations!

Air Jordan 1 "Tundra" was ironically inspired by finding a piece of "Rabbit Fur"!
I had been mocking up designs for my shoe prior to the class, but in the end, I decided that I wanted to challenge myself to create something in the moment. When I started picking the materials, I almost went into a completely different direction, until I found a scrap piece of rabbit fur that was just big enough to be useable. After grabbing that, I knew that I had to incorporate it. I then revamped my design to the build around it being on the toe box. I also loved how the suede side of the shark leather contrasted with the beige fur, and contained slight variations of color. I wanted some pop for the swoosh, but to make the read stand out & keep the fur both prominent, yet, neutral. Finally, I decided to go with the earth tones and white/grey for the remaining pieces, to stick with a frozen tundra concept!
Rey was an EXCELLENT teacher, very knowledgeable about every step of the shoe making process and is fully capable to answer any and all questions that I had, and I had a lot of them. The SDCF instructors were superb as well, and were able to assist us and guide us with advice and expertise.
I would strongly recommend the class to anyone who is serious about learning the shoe making process. I will definitely be returning for another class in the future!
